Fitness Reduces Risk Of Heart Disease Even For Fatties

The following table summarises research results that show how fitness can dramatically reduce the risk of Cardio Vascular Disease even for plus-size people. Actually I think these results are stunning. The risk of heart problem is four times higher un unfit obese men than for fit obese men! And fit obese men have LESS risk of heart disease than unfit lean men. I never knew that before reading this research! (Sorry ladies - this research was carried out on men - but we womwn can surely take this as a guide). So all us obese people - its worth getting fit even if we are fat!

According to Obesity Online: “In addition to the beneficial effects of physical activity on body weight, aerobic fitness can independently modify the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. This figure illustrates the data obtained from a large observational cohort study involving more than 20,000 men, aged 30 to 83 years, who were followed for an average of 8 years [1].” … read more
